The easy-to-care Hoya australis is excellent for any indoor space and does not require lots of water or maintenance. Choose a well-aerated, well-draining potting mixture and provide lots of sunlight during the active growing season.
Extremely well-draining soil is imperative to the health of these plants. They are currently potted in a mix of potting soil, perlite and orchid bark (1:1:1).
This plant thrives in bright indirect light! Be careful though, placing them in direct sunlight can cause leaf burn.
These plants are drought-tolerant and it is recommended to wait till they dry out before watering. Thick/waxy leaves retain water and too much water is detrimental to the health of the plant. When in doubt: wait.
You can either keep your plant in a hanging pot and let its leaves trail down or you can train it to grow upwards by using supports. This plant is a very fast grower.
The plant is super easy to propagate in soil or water.
You will receive a healthy established plant in a 6" grower's pot.
PLEASE PURCHASE A HEAT PACK IF YOU ARE IN COLD WEATHER.
